Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Officer to join our client's team. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for accurately processing and managing our client's payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality are essential for success in this role.
**Payroll Officer Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- Collect and verify timesheets, attendance records, and other relevant data for payroll processing.
- Calculate and process employee wages, salaries, bonuses, commissions, and deductions accurately and on time.
- Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute pay statements or direct deposits to employees.
- Manage payroll adjustments, such as leave accruals, overtime, and employee benefits
Payroll Officer Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
- Solid knowledge of payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar).
- Familiarity with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Excellent mathematical and numerical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Relevant certification or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
