Our Top100 client is currently seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their highly regarded Medical and Life Sciences team in Bristol. The team operates in conjunction with the General Liability team and has established itself as a key player in the insurance sector. They represent leading insurers, offering legal services to insured health and social care organisations, healthcare professionals, private healthcare providers, and charitable organisations.

As a Clinical Negligence Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic and growing team. The role will offer a varied caseload, allowing you to handle a range of interesting and challenging matters. With proven capability, you will be given autonomy to make your mark on cases and demonstrate your expertise. In addition, you will have the chance to engage in business development and client initiatives, where appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and assisting with medical malpractice claims.
  • Supporting the management of inquests and attending hearings as a notetaker or advocate.
  • Assisting with Fitness to Practise investigations and CQC prosecutions.
  • Providing high-quality and timely service to clients, ensuring alignment with agreed working practises and client service level agreements.
  • Contributing to a culture of constant improvement, including sharing knowledge and resources with colleagues, participating in team development initiatives, and identifying areas for process improvement.
  • Compiling and organising required Management Information in accordance with established practises.
  • Participating in client events and occasional travel to London when required.

Requirements:

  • NQ-2 years PQE Legal Executive or Solicitor.
  • Strong background in handling personal injury claims and fast track litigation.
  • Knowledge of legal procedures.
  • Ability to deliver legal and commercial solutions and establish collaborative working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Competence in managing client relationships and delivering trusted service.
  • Demonstrates confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Committed to business development and expanding professional networks.
  • Works efficiently and understands the importance of financial hygiene.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively in a team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
