Statera Talent are currently partnered with a Bournemouth based accounting business to assist them with two new hires for accountants to work with their extensive client base including retail, hospitality, engineering, manufacturing, service-based companies, charities, and schools. The company is well respected in the area and has been well established over many decades.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements using accounting software
- Bookkeeping and payroll management
- Quarterly VAT return preparation
- General accounting and finance tasks
- Conducting client meetings
- Addressing tax planning and business advisory matters
Qualifications
- Proven experience in preparing financial statements, bookkeeping, and reconciliations
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, Quickbooks, and Xero
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, potentially in a managerial role
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software
- Experience with IRIS is preferred but not essential
- Minimum of two years' practice experience is essential
Role Details
The position will be office-based during the initial 3 month probation period. Upon successful completion of probation, a hybrid work model will be introduced.
