We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary SEN Teacher to join our team immediately. If you are enthusiastic about making a real difference in the lives of children with diverse learning needs, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of students with a range of special educational needs.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Use a variety of strategies to manage behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and structured classroom.
- Regularly assess and track pupils' progress, tailoring support to individual needs.
- Foster strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support pupil wellbeing and learning.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary school setting.
- A deep understanding of various SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
- SEN-specific qualifications or training.
- Experience with PECS, Makaton, or other communication aids.
- Knowledge of current SEN legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
