  • Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Term Time Only (39 weeks per year)

We are seeking a resilient and well-equipped Teaching Assistant to join our Emotional Health and Wellbeing Specialist Resource Base (SRB) at a High School based in the West area of Cardiff. This role is pivotal in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, catering to students with Behavioural, Emotional, and Social Difficulties, among other Additional Learning Needs.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Provide tailored support to students within the SRB, helping them manage emotional regulation and achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with a diverse cohort of 20 students, ensuring high staff to pupil engagement.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance learning pathways and support individual development plans (IDPs).
  • Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing educational setting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting students with emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Resilience and the ability to support emotional regulation in students.
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as per the Education (Wales) Act 2014.
  • Subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
  • Fluency in Welsh is advantageous but not essential.
