Our client is a world class restoration company looking to expand its team. They are
looking for a highly motivated individual who has a genuine interest in vintage cars. The role
would be extremely varied with very little repetition but would involve; general mechanics, hand
fitting, problem solving and fault diagnosis (without the aid of electrical diagnostic equipment).
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years experience as a mechanic. Some of which
must have been on classic and vintage cars. They must also have worked with mechanical
brakes and manually-timed engines.
The successful candidate must have the following criteria:
Experience doing basic machining on lathes and milling machines
Basic fabrication and welding capability (making bracketry)
Experience tuning and rebuilding carburettors
Understanding of magnetos
Advantageous:
Wood working
Panel making
Upholstery
28 holidays per year with working hours of 7- 4pm, Monday - Friday.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Dependant on Experience
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
