We are looking for a Compliance Manager to join our growing team at Boots Online Doctor to be our go to expert focused on meeting our regulatory and professional standards.

This is a full-time vacancy within our London offices based in vibrant Angel, Islington.

About the role

The overall objective of the Compliance Manager is to be the inhouse expert for the Boots Digital Healthcare business, ensuring that the governance of processes and procedures meet our regulatory and professional requirements.

You will;

  • Ensure all quality/compliance documentation (policies, ESDOs - clinical service manuals, SOPs, training records, risk registers, ROPA etc.) are up to date and accurately maintained across the business.
  • Lead the Boots Digital Health business when it comes to data protection including DPIAs and privacy policy adjustments, supported by the central DPO's office.
  • Align the compliance approach at Boots Digital Health to the wider Boots business, working as an extension of this central team.
  • Support with internal audit and regulatory inspection requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director, Dep. Medical Director (Governance lead), Registered Manager, IT Governance lead, Boots data protection and compliance teams to harmonise the collective expertise to one decision.
  • Represent Boots Digital Health as a data steward within the wider Boots business.
  • Support the Dep Medical Director with clinical governance activity through close communication and shared project work.
  • Conduct audits and self inspections to identify opportunities for improvement and to prepare the team for regulatory inspections.
  • Developing and continually improving Standard Operating Procedures and policies to meet gold standards

What you'll need to have

  • Proven experience as compliance/governance manager.
  • In-depth knowledge of the standards and regulations within a regulated industry's (healthcare highly desirable).
  • Excellent record keeping skills.
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
  • Proven ability to understand complex problems and facilitate solutions.
  • Comfortable navigating and influencing senior stakeholders to ensure risks are given due attention and the appropriate decision-making is achieved for the business.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written with sound attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate with autonomy and limited supervision.
  • As a self starter, you will be comfortable to create structure from ambiguity, able to operate with limited oversight.

It would be great if you also have

  • An understanding of the remote / telemedicine landscape in the UK.
  • Experience partnering with regulatory bodies to discuss industry standards and changes.
