Senior Finance Officer - Management Opportunity - Gosforth, Newcastle - Permanent Role
Nigel Wright are working with a fantastic organisation in the Gosforth area who have a rare opportunity within their Finance function. Reporting into an Accountant, you'll take responsibility for your own team of Finance Officers, ensuring budgets and accounts with a variety of financial year ends are produced in line with an agreed timetable. You and your team will be responsible for delivering the following:
- Providing excellent customer service and financial support to both internal and external clients.
- Producing budgets and annual accounts to agreed timescales, including issuing statements and setting up direct debit payment plans.
- Monitor/analyse expenditure and costing of invoices and input journals to maintain accurate records.
- Liaise with external accountants, providing year end information and answering queries to ensure timely certification of accounts.
- Assisting with the day to day accounts functions within the Finance department as required.
About You...
- Previous experience working within an accounting environment/strong accounting knowledge.
- Ability to manage a team, work proactively, prioritise tasks, use own initiative and perform under pressure.
- Professional, clear communication skills.
- Ability to discuss financial accounting matters with management team and clients.
- Strong Excel skills are required.
- Detailed knowledge of financial management systems and procedures, performing accurate reconciliations and budget setting/monitoring.

- Annual salary of up to £35,500
- 37 hour working week (Mon-Fri)
