Cover Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensure students follow pre-set lesson plans, and maintain a productive and orderly learning environment. Your primary duties will involve managing the classroom, ensuring students are engaged, and addressing any behavioural issues in line with the school's behaviour policy. You'll also be responsible for keeping students focused, assisting them with understanding the lesson objectives and providing additional support where necessary.
In addition to managing the class, you will liaise with teaching staff to provide feedback on student participation, progress, and any challenges encountered during the lesson. The role requires covering a wide range of subjects, so flexibility and confidence in working with different year groups and topics are key.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organisational skills, with a confident, positive approach to classroom management.
