IT Warehouse Operative

SSCL is looking for a dynamic IT Warehouse Operative to join our team. You will be part of an organisation that supports the Metropolitan Police, CITB, Government, and Ministry of Defence, making a positive impact within the public sector. As part of our key supply chain, you will be handling orders and stock, dealing with vendors and overseeing general supply logistics.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supervise the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from laptops to peripherals, ensuring precise tracking within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Perform regular physical and electronic audits and apply updates to keep corporate hardware and laptop records accurate using Excel.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, such as unauthorised asset usage and data breaches, and implement controls to safeguard IT assets.
  • Plan and complete the disposal of obsolete hardware, ensuring secure data destruction in line with environmental regulations.
  • Help with reviewing submissions requiring asset management approvals and support the Service Support Team Lead with administrative tasks.
  • Handle Asset Management Incidents, Catalogue Tasks, and requests in ServiceNow, ensuring smooth process flows and coordination with various teams.
  • Provide support using Excel and help with updates to Data Centre Rack Diagrams in Visio.

What you will bring:

  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with ServiceNow

It would be great if you had:

  • Familiarity with MS Visio
  • Understanding of ITIL principles and practices

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
Location: Gosport, Hybrid. 2-3 days onsite per week
Security Clearance Level: Must be eligible for SC Clearance
