AS A TEACHING ASSISTANT YOU WILL:
- Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide tailored assistance.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks and preparation of teaching materials.
- Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
THE RIGHT TEACHING ASSISTANT WILL HAVE:
- The ability to build good relationships with children and colleagues.
- Commitment to equal opportunities.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team but also to use your own initiative.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Patience, a positive outlook and a great sense of humour.
- Excellent communication skills, including high levels of spoken and written Standard English.
THE SUCCESSFUL TEACHING ASSISTANT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
- A minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent). Additional relevant qualifications are a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine interest in education.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Salary paid to scale - £90-£100 per day Fringe pay, depending on experience.
