As a Systems Test Analyst, you'll be an integral part of our team, playing a vital role in the construction, testing, and commissioning of next generation Dreadnaught class submarines.

Joining the business at Graduate / Entry level you will be provided with extensive specialist training to become an integral part of team responsible for the build, test and commissioning of systems onboard the new class submarines currently under construction in Barrow-in-Furness.

This role benefits from our 9/75 working pattern giving you every other Friday off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse test results from submarine-based systems
  • Witness performance tests onboard submarines
  • Produce comprehensive evaluation reports
  • Provide technical consultancy to stakeholders
  • Prepare presentations and technical reports

The successful candidate must achieve the appropriate level (DV) of security clearance. More details can be found here.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related STEM discipline
  • Analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving
  • Proactive and able to drive tasks to successful completion
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong attention to detail. Understanding the requirement to adhere to applicable documentation within a highly prescriptive environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Flexible to travel and undertake a period (c12 months) of training onsite in Faslane, Helensburgh before ultimately relocating permanently to work onsite in Barrow-in-Furness.

Lockheed Martin UK - Strategic Systems (LMUK SS) is the single contractor providing specialist Waterfront In-Service Support to one of the Royal Navy's Submarine Programs. The company provides the Ministry of Defence (MoD) with safe, efficient and responsive support. LMUK SS, as part of the ABL Alliance with AWE and Babcock, is also responsible for the management of operations at RNAD Coulport. Looking to the future, LMUK SS supports the joint US and UK submarine design efforts.
