Conference & Events Manager

£35,000 - £40,000 base, plus bonus structure

Ipswich – Hybrid

Are you a seasoned Events Manager with a flair for organisation and a passion for delivering exceptional events? We are working with a large business in Ipswich seeking a qualified and experienced Conference & Events Manager to join their dynamic marketing team. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will lead and manage their Events Coordinator, overseeing the full spectrum of corporate and social events from conception to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, management, and execution of all company conferences and events.
  • Develop and implement processes to optimise event delivery, ensuring efficiency and budgetary control.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best value for all event-related activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote events and ensure they align with business objectives.
  • Oversee event logistics, from venue sourcing to on-the-day execution, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in event management, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale events.
  • Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple events simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A degree in Events Management or a related qualification is essential; a Project Management qualification is advantageous.
