RG Consultancy are working with and recruiting for a very well established business in Alderley Edge who are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their finance team. This role is a fantastic opportunity, opened up due to an internal promotion within the business. You will support the Purchase Ledger and Subcontractor duties, working alongside a small team, reporting to the Finance Manager.

The Role

  • Managing the Purchase ledger function in the accounts department
  • Handling and processing purchase invoices
  • Coding and posting all invoices and credit notes
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Weekly payment runs
  • Dealing with subcontractor ledger and CIS
  • Able to identify issues/discrepancies and ensure resolved efficiently
  • Managing the accounts inbox and other administrative duties to assist the Finance Manager

The Person

  • At least 2 years experience within a purchase ledger or similar role
  • An AAT qualification would be an advantage but not essential
  • Experience with CIS would be an advantage
  • Good communication and IT skills
