Ascent Recruitment is excited to exclusively partner with a well-established and expanding manufacturing company near Newton le Willows to find an Assistant Accountant with experience in the manufacturing sector.
Reporting to a fantastic Financial Controller, this role offers a great opportunity for an experienced transactional accountant to take on new responsibilities, including full ownership of the transactional finance function and involvement in month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Oversee the smooth operation of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accuracy in supplier invoices.
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations
- Raise and distribute weekly sales invoices to customers.
- Prepare and process cash receipts, matching them to the relevant invoices in line with payments received.
- Help to implement and maintain robust financial controls
- Perform month-end reconciliations.
Key Experience:-
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
- Experience in a finance role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Good numeracy and IT skills
- Proven experience in implementing process improvements.
- ERP system experience
Salary and Benefits:-
- £30,000 per annum
- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
