Our client is a market-leading, well established and reputable local business looking to recruit a Parts Supervisor to join their busy Warehouse team.

Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, the Parts Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Parts department, ensuring the team is effectively utilised and focused on required tasks.

This role involves overseeing the goods-in operation, handling escalations, and maintaining high standards of inventory management and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Supervise and manage the Parts team on a daily basis
  • Assign tasks and ensure team members are working on required activities
  • Provide regular feedback on performance along with coaching to team members
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and updates
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment

Goods-In Operation:

  • Oversee the receipt of goods, ensuring all incoming parts are accurately checked, documented and scanned
  • Handle discrepancies relating to purchase orders
  • Organise and put away stock in the correct locations to maintain an orderly inventory
  • Conduct regular audits of goods received to ensure compliance with company standards

Inventory Management:

  • Conduct regular and accurate stock counts to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Assist in managing inventory levels to ensure stock availability and minimise discrepancies
  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to prevent loss and ensure efficiency

Handling Escalations:

  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to the Parts department
  • Act as the point of contact for escalated issues, providing timely and effective solutions
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve complex problems and improve processes

The ideal candidate :

  • Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations and leading a team
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle escalations effectively
