Your new company
A well-known Higher Education Organisation in the Glasgow City Centre is working with Hays to find a candidate who will join them as a Payroll Adviser. This individual will join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The position is hybrid based and the hours of work, which will be Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, with the possibility of flexible working.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for managing a team of experienced payrollers to run the end-to-end process, monthly payroll runs, analysing data, checking for variances, performing reports back to management, bank journals, reconciliation of payroll accounts, administration of year-end returns and making payments to third parties. Deal with adhoc payroll matters and p45/p60/PD11.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in the role, you will have a minimum of 5 years payroll experience. You will also be able to work to tight deadlines on your own and as part of a team. You will be experienced at running both weekly and monthly payrolls. Experience within a payroll management position is preferable with working knowledge of the Oracle system.
