Teaching Assistant Autism

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a caring and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1-1 support for a child with autism at a specialist support school in Bury.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate or Support Worker with SEN experience or a Residential Support Worker looking to pursue a career within education!

About the role:

  • 1:1 and small group support for children with Autism
  • Working with challenging behaviour
  • You will need to have the ability to build rapport with students and staff

CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS:

  • Location - Bury
  • Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Start date - ASAP
  • End date (if applicable) -July 2025
  • Full time/part time - Full time
  • The minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate of £100 per day
  • Hours - 8:30 - 15:30

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous experience working with Autism
- Team Teach Qualification would be highly desirable
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
