Business Manager, Real Estate

A leading international bank is looking for a Relationship or Portfolio Manager to join their specialised Real Estate Finance subdivision within their Commercial Lending team. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to come into a client-facing position and work in a dedicated Real Estate team, managing and growing the portfolio as well as providing leadership and mentoring to junior members of the team.

On a day to day, your key responsibilities will include: cultivating new business (both primary and secondary), preparing credit proposals and periodic credit review reports, liaising with departments including risk and KYC and informally providing mentoring and supervision to junior members of the team. Other responsibilities will be to lead and execute transactions and continuously monitoring the existing portfolio and ensuring client relationships with the bank remains strong.

To be applicable for this role, you must have at least 3 years experience in real estate finance, ideally in a client-facing role within a bank. Credit experience, including the ability to write a credit proposal and strong documentation skills. Cantonese speaking is beneficial for this role, due to the nature of the clientele. Experience in people management is also beneficial for this role.
