A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Specialist to join a UK known manufacturer in the Worcester Area!
With no day ever being the same the Supply Chain Specialist role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and monitor KPIs
- Overseeing all the inventory levels - ensuring the right amount of stock, conducting audits and minimizing excess inventory
- Help to train and develop supply chain staff
- Coordinating with suppliers making sure all deliveries of goods and materials are timely - negotiating prices etc
- Supplier Management - building and maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Look at areas for process improvement - increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) - holding or working towards
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge and experience of working with supply chain management software systems e.g. ERP's, WMS, TMS etc
- Strong knowledge and understanding of inventory control, forecasting and optimisation techniques
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes
- Excellent communication skills
