Procurement Manager

Artis Procurement has an excellent opportunity for a Procurement Generalist to join a rapidly growing organisation. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will work with all stakeholders to ensure you get the best value for products and services that support the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of indirect goods and services, including but not limited to Professional Services, Facilities, Marketing and HR services. You will play a critical role in driving cost savings, enhancing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

Procurement Manager responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect categories to optimise value, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, identify opportunities for cost savings, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring performance meets agreed service levels and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor market trends and conduct benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing and best practices in procurement.
  • Develop and manage category-specific KPIs and dashboards to track performance and report on savings achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead supplier risk management efforts, including conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency through digital solutions and automation.

Procurement Manager Experience and Qualifications:

  • As this is a greenfield procurement function, you will be an experienced procurement manager who can implement strong working procurement practices, while developing excellent relationships with the business.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect categories.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects and delivering cost savings.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying and driving improvements.
  • CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification or equivalent is preferred.
