This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage all aspects of accounts receivable and payable, ensuring efficient working capital management. You will be responsible for processing invoices for both customers and suppliers, managing payment runs, and processing customer receipts. Additionally, you will oversee the administration for the fortnightly payroll and engage in various finance project activities. This role provides a platform to showcase your strong communication skills and your ability to work collaboratively within a team.

As a Senior Accounts Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in managing both accounts receivable and payable. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include processing invoices for customers and suppliers, managing payment runs, and ensuring timely receipt processing. You will also be tasked with performing balance sheet and bank reconciliations. In addition to these core responsibilities, you will provide administrative support for the fortnightly payroll process. Your role will extend beyond these tasks as you participate in various finance project activities such as testing finance systems and documenting processes.

  • Manage accounts payable activities including invoice processing, payment processing, and supplier statement reconciliation
  • Handle accounts receivable activities such as invoice processing, receipt processing, and credit control
  • Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
  • Review and support casual payroll on a fortnightly basis
  • Participate in finance project activities such as testing finance systems and other system interfaces, documenting processes
  • Undertake other ad-hoc finance activities as requested

The ideal candidate for the Senior Accounts Assistant position is an experienced finance professional with strong AP and AR experience. You are proficient in Excel and have hands-on experience with payroll processes. Your excellent communication skills enable you to effectively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. Experience in the event industry or familiarity with Oracle NetSuite or any other ERP would be advantageous but is not essential.

  • Proven experience as a finance professional
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Experience with payroll processes
  • Excellent communication skills
