Summary of the role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Operational Change Control & Governance Manger with a preferable background in Financial services or Transformation & Change, but transferable skills are welcome. This is a key role that involves leading a team and developing innovative solutions for internal and client facing governance and quality change controls.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing the interface between the Central Change Team, Client, IT, 3rd party suppliers, Front and Back-office teams, to deliver planning and control of operational change projects.
  • Influence key stakeholders (e.g. corporate and client SLT members) to ensure that operational change is planned effectively, and key milestones, contention, dependencies and risks are identified and understood.
  • Manage the Change Request and estimation process deliverables within contractual
  • Collaborate with both internal and external teams to develop the operational change roadmap and plans
  • Lead and coach a team of direct reports to deliver their governance and change control responsibilities and support appropriate personal development plans.
  • Develop and manage necessary frameworks, processes and documentation to exceed minimum requirements and to protect Service Levels across operations.
  • Engage, maintain and share regular updates on change controls and governance activity across a range of stakeholders including client, SLT, and 3rd parties.

What we're looking for

Qualifications:

  • Certified in PMO or Project Management (at practitioner level), like P3O, Certified Project Manager, APMP, Prince2 Practitioner, ISEB, or ITIL.

Skills:

  • Great communicator who can connect with people at all levels across the organisation.
  • Super organised, with a knack for handling competing priorities and demands.
  • Quick learner, good at solving problems and managing conflicts.
  • Understands the importance of networking, clear communication, and building consensus to successfully deliver change.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Solid understanding of change management and governance processes.

Experience:

  • Proven track record in managing projects/programmes.
  • Experience leading and motivating both specialist and non-specialist teams.
  • Background in Planning/PMO.
  • Skilled in managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders (both internal and external).
  • Able to quickly pick up new areas or topics and gain credibility with experts from other fields.
  • Familiar with FCA regulations.
