Senior Data Analyst/Engineer - Pyspark, SQL, Banking sought by leading investment bank based in London.
- *Inside IR35 - 3 days a week onsite**
Responsibilities:
- Building PySpark and SQL queries to analyse, reconcile, and interrogate data
- Provide recommendations to improve the reporting process. This could include working with IT teams to improve data quality, working with stakeholders to simplify processes or improving query performance.
- Contribute to architecture and design discussions of a Hadoop environment
- Translate architecture and low-level requirements to design and code
- Provide direction and technical leadership on complex, high-impact projects and in all phases of the development and implementation process, ensuring essential procedures are followed
- Promotes continuous process improvement especially in code quality, testability & reliability
Key Skills:
- Expertise in SQL, Python, Spark.
- 5+ years Technical Data Analysis experience
- Hadoop / Big Data domain familiarity
- Data Warehouse/ETL design and development methodologies knowledge and experience
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to effectively produce reports, documentation, and communicate with senior management. Ability to seamlessly communicate complex technical issues to non-technical colleagues
- Self starter with the ability to work independently
