The Role

As a Design and Technology Teacher at our Romford-based school, you will:

  • Teach Design and Technology: Deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop their skills and creativity.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of the design and technology curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and inspiring.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and support the progress of all students, providing feedback that helps them achieve their academic and practical goals.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Design and Technology department and other colleagues to share best practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our students.
  • Assess and track student progress, maintaining accurate records.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
  • Support extracurricular design and technology projects and events.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Design and Technology or a related subject.
  • A passion for design and technology and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
