Futures are working on an excitng Packaging Manager role on behalf of a market-leading food manufacturing business. This business has a portfolio of great tasting products with exciting NPD projects in the pipeline.

As a Packaging Manager you will oversee and manage all packaging operations in the food manufacturing facility.

You will work closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, Procurement, NPD and Sales teams to optimise packaging workflows, minimise waste, and ensure timely delivery of products. You will also be responsible for managing packaging staff and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities of a Packaging Manager Include:

  • Oversee day-to-day packaging activities to ensure efficiency and product quality.
  • Develop and implement packaging schedules in coordination with production planning
  • Ensure all packaging activities comply with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FDA, etc.).
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to address and prevent any issues related to packaging integrity or contamination risks.
  • Maintain and update packaging records, adhering to documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams on new packaging designs and solutions.
  • Develop strategies to reduce waste and optimize the use of packaging materials.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, including proper use of equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions where needed.

**Skills & Qualifications of a

Packaging Manager Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, food science, operations management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in packaging operations, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP, GMP, FDA).
  • Proficiency in managing automated packaging equipment and systems.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
