Salary Band: £32,076 - £33,945 dependants on experience. If you are interested in the role on an interim basis an hourly rate can be discussed.

We are looking for a Senior Client Services Officer to join our team in Trafford, to work within the Housing Benefits Assessment team.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage and train a team to deliver high-quality customer service.
- Oversee financial assessments, local welfare assistance awards, and discretionary housing payments in line with legislation and guidance.
- Ensure accurate and timely payments to adult social care providers and invoicing to clients.
- Handle complex Assessment and Client Services administration, including complaints and decision reviews/appeals.
- Communicate effectively with staff, courts, tribunals, residents, providers, and internal departments.
- Manage referrals for clients requiring financial management support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- IRRV qualification or willingness to attain within 12 months.
- 2+ years' experience in a customer service environment, preferably in Assessments or Client Services.
- Experience in giving accurate information and advice, handling complex cases, and making discretionary decisions.
- Excellent communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support, and Adult Social Care Financial Assessments.
