Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Council are looking to recruit a Housing Project and Change Officer to join ourteam based in Ipswich . You will be working on a full time, fixed term or secondment opportunity for 12 months. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of £34,834 - £41,418 per annum (pro rata for part time).

Full time, part time and job share opportunities will be considered.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Housing Project and Change Officer to join our Housing Transformation Team. To be successful You will share our values, commitment and motivation to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities.

About the role

The Housing Project and Change Officer will support the delivery of the Housing Programme.

You will manage projects and deliver process improvements working closely with managers and teams across the organisation.

You will conduct reviews and business process re-engineering across the Housing Teams to inform priorities within the housing project pipeline.

By exploiting digital technology and data analysis you will support the housing service in the design, modelling and implementation of new or modified ways of working.

You will support, facilitate, coordinate, monitor and manage project progress across the operational teams within Housing.

You will be a key part of making meaningful changes. Your dynamic, proactive and enthusiastic attitude will combine with project management and data analysis to deliver beneficial change for the organisation.

About you

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a technical or analytical subject or will have gained relevant experience of business analysis and project management.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • a comprehensive understanding and proven experience in project management
  • experience of business process re-engineering
  • an inquisitive mindset, with the ability to master new and complex subject areas
  • effective problem solving skills
  • excellent communication skills with the confidence to effectively challenge ways of working
  • strong data analysis skills
  • strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities
  • experience of understanding complex business processes and issues across an organisation and identifying measurable improvements
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft office products
