Next Generation are currently recruiting for a Band Saw Operator to work with a global leading manufacturer based near Halesowen. As the Band Saw Operator you will be responsible for setting and operating Band Saws in a safe and effective manner whilst also being able to move material around the plant via a Cab Crane.

- Up to £13.92 hourly rate
Working hours of the Band Saw Operator:
Rotating double day shift:
Week one (6am - 14.00pm)
Week two (14.00pm - 22.00pm Monday - Thursday, Friday 18.00pm finish)
Duties of the Band Saw Operator:
- Operate a BAND SAW safely and efficiently
- Measure & markup material for cutting
- Minimise scrap through accurate and intelligent cutting
- Chamfering & centering
- Operating Cab cranes
- Daily machine checks
- Ensure work areas are kept clean adhering to Health & Safety procedures & policies at all time
The successful candidate for the Band Saw Operators position will have the following experience:
- 3 - 5 years' experience working as a Band Saw Operator (Essential).
- Operating Cab Crane (Essential)
- Ability to effectively measure material minimising material wastage (Essential)
- Carrying out daily machine checks (Desirable)
- Experience of cutting all varying grades of metals from carbon steels to super duplex materials (Desirable)
- Understanding & capability of fulfilling all manual handling requirement
