This is what you will be doing:
- Take ownership and responsibility for delivering all aspects of the project within agreed timelines.
- Produce and interpret engineering drawings and specifications in line with national and international standards.
- Ensure all project components are delivered according to the established timelines.
- Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation or contingency plans.
- Interface with internal and external customers, providing technical support and guidance as the product expert.
- Demonstrate the suitability of proposed design solutions using engineering tools and practices such as tolerance analysis, stress analysis, DFMEA, PFMEA, reliability analysis, and design for manufacture.
- Define and conduct relevant product testing, including mechanical (endurance, shock, vibration) and environmental (temperature, humidity, chemical) tests.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project design dossiers.
And this is what you'll need:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in an electro-mechanical design environment would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in a 3D modeling software package, including parts, assemblies, and drawings would be advantageous.
