Finance Manager - Cardiff
£17.30 per hour 3 Month contract (with a view to extend)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide managers with financial information and reports to enable effective service delivery and planning.
- To provide trend commentary and financial projections in relation to core budgets and grant funding.
- To provide information to assist in the procurement and tendering process for the purchase of goods and services,
- To develop and maintain management information systems to record key service activity.
- To assist in the monitoring and analysis of performance data, financial and management information.
- To contribute to the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of key service activity, and to ensure that all services are provided within the County policies and procedures and legal requirements.
- To lead on the gathering of data to respond to FOI and other Information Requests
- To be the main point of contact for the Direct Payment System, including setting up of new staff with roles and responsibilities
- To liaise with the Service Accountancy Team as required on budget spend, compliance with Financial Procedural Rules.
- To be responsible for the management of the Finance Team , including supervision, appraisal, recruitment, induction, disciplinary etc and overall team development and morale.
