Bookkeeper/Project Administrator

My client is a growing contracting business based in Wandsworth, and they are looking for a dedicated Bookkeeper/Project Administrator to support their Projects team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standard of contract service delivery, with a focus on transparency, value for money, and efficiency. The position is office-based, with the modern office located close to mainline station and may involve occasional travel to project sites or trade stores.
Day to Day of the role:
- Coordinate general project administration, including organising meetings, monitoring key dates, and following up on meeting actions.
- Manage business-critical documentation such as drawings, project information, O & M documents, PQQ documents, meeting minutes/reports, and site logbooks.
- Handle general administration tasks including compiling project reports, processing invoices, and preparing monthly management reports.
- Maintain company records databases with accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist with basic reports by conducting analysis and research.
- Support site managers and operatives with ordering materials and consumables, ensuring cost control and budget monitoring.
- Support Directors in issuing Contracts for Site Agreement.
- Perform general bookkeeping tasks under the supervision of the Managing Director, including payroll, CIS returns, supplier invoice processing, and VAT returns.
- Organise staff events and maintain confidentiality across all company matters.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in office administration, including email handling, invoices, and stock control.
- Skilled in business and administration tasks, with strong communication and IT skills.
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office package with good Excel skills.
- Experience with Xero accounts package is desirable.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Dependable, flexible, self-motivated, and proactive in problem-solving.
