Your new company is a leading Engineering Business within the Defence Sector. Winning numerous awards in 2023, they are at the forefront of Engineering Technology and foster a culture of excellence. Based in Manchester, they have a large Design team of circa 19 Designers, & are looking to add more to the business.
Your new role
This role is an excellent position for a Mechanical Designer / Draughtsperson to get stuck into some exciting, cutting-edge design work and will include the following day to day responsibilities:
- Produce detailed, technical drawings for design solutions with the Engineering Design team
- Check, edit and maintain drawings and other technical documentation
- Prepare technical documents such as specifications, reports, manuals, procedures etc
- Support hardware development and testing
- Compile technical documents and test specifications
- Interpret technical specifications
What you'll need to succeed
For this role, to succeed, you will have the following experience:
- Experience of detailed design drawings and documentation
- Experience in CAD and PDM software including Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid Works, Siemens NX, Pro Engineer or similar
- Understanding CAD and other Software file formats
- Worked within medium to heavy engineering or sheet metal industry with knowledge of welded and fabricated structures
- Knowledge and experience of PDM administration
- Experience of BoM management and configuration
What you'll get in return In return, you will receive an excellent salary between £40,000 - £45,000 p/a and benefits package. Permanent and Fixed Term contracts avalible.
