Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Strategic Finance Manager to join a central government organisation based in the Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled finance professional to contribute to key financial strategies and drive impactful decision-making within a dynamic public sector environment. This role will be offering a competitive daily rate of £350 - £400 umbrella. The role is expected to last for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organisational needs.
Duties:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organisation's objectives and priorities
- Provide expert financial advice and guidance to senior management and key stakeholders
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with relevant regulations and policies
- Conduct financial analysis to inform strategic decisions and improve financial performance
- Lead and manage financial projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment of financial strategies with organisational goals
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior leadership
Personal
- Proven experience in a strategic finance role within a public sector or governmental organisation
- Strong understanding of financial management principles, budgeting, and forecasting
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage financial projects effectively
