To be considered for this Bookkeeper vacancy, previous work experience gained with an accountancy practice is essential. Ideally, you should have a working knowledge of Sage, Xero, or other client accounting packages and have made progress with the AAT/ ICB qualification.
The client is a growing accountancy firm with an excellent local reputation. They are keen to recruit an additional Bookkeeper to be part of that growth.
In this Bookkeeper & Payroller position, you will be looking after clients on a mix of bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts and payrolls.
- The bookkeeping will involve working on cloud-based packages and working to trial balance.
- VAT returns will be for standard and flat-rate clients
- Completion of monthly or quarterly management accounts and reports for clients
- Collation, entry and completion of client payrolls, including any relevant deductions or allowances. Year-end reporting.
As an experienced member of the team, you will also be supporting the junior staff members.
- Standard hours of work are 37.5 per week (8.30 pm - 5.00 am), but there may be flexibility in the working hours.
- You will require your own transport as visiting client premises is part of the job role (once restrictions allow). There is car parking at the office.
