Payroll Clerk | Full time and Permanent | Birmingham |Salary up to £30,000

Ashley Kate are proud to be working with our client in the manufacturing industry as they search for a Payroll Clerk to join the Payroll and Finance team. Reporting into the Payroll Manager you will processing the in house payroll in completely on-site position.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for employees accurately and on time, utilizing payroll software systems.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity by accurately entering employee information, hours worked, deductions, and other relevant details.
  • Calculate wages, bonuses, overtime, and other compensation accurately based on timekeeping records and company policies.
  • Review time sheets and attendance records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Address employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and deductions promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as required.
  • Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and industry best practices
  • Support with Finance administration duties.

About you:

  • Minimum 2 years experience processing in house end to end payroll.
  • CIPP or working towards (desirable)
  • Experience with SAP (desirable)
  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry (advantageous)
  • Team player and excellent attention to detail
