My client a leading design and manufacturer of bespoke industrial electro-mechanical machinery are currently looking to recruit an experienced Product / Assembly Technician to join the business. This position would suit an experienced assembly / build technician with a machine assembly background and knowledge across mechanical / electronic / electrical disciplines.
As a Product Technician the successful candidate will need to be flexible, as your time will be split between working in the office and on-site installing & servicing machines.
Product Technician - Key Responsibilities
- The primary objective of this role will be to support the assembly and build of bespoke, small volume machines utilising advanced plasma treatment technologies
- The fitting, assembly, and testing of mechanical assemblies and electrical components applying a Quality first approach
- Attention to detail is critical and the ability to follow, and develop, complex work instructions and SOPs
Product Technician - Essential Requirements
- The ability to understand and follow technical drawings (both mechanical and electrical)
- A Thorough attention to detail while following assembly procedures to safely assemble machines to an exceptional quality level
- Relevant industrial and engineering experience in mechanical/electronic/electrical assembly
- Experience in operating test equipment such as thermocouples, transducers, flow meters.
- Ability to methodically problem solve
- Customer facing with previous field service experience
- Familiarity with ISO Quality Standards
Product Technician - Desired Requirements
- Experience in electrical safety systems, control panels, and schematics
- Understanding of embedded systems and communication protocols such as MODBUS
- Previous Software knowledge would be a distinct advantage
- Any programming experience would be beneficial
