Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by a leading public sector client to recruit for a Procurement Manager.
Main purpose of the job
- To be the procurement lead to enable a full procurement offering.
- Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations.
- Develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage pre and post tender activities.
- Build and maintain a database of local and regional suppliers.
- Provide guidance and training to internal staff.
Job Requirements
- High level understanding of Public Sector procurement regulations
- Previous experience managing a team
- MCIPS qualification or working towards
- Provide updates to internal staff and suppliers on procurement legislation
- Participate in team briefings
- Maintain working relationships with key personnel
