Search are actively recruiting a Quantity Surveyor working on water and SPEN projects across Scotland on behalf of one of our key clients who are an established contractor in the civil engineering and energy sectors.

Our client

Our client is a contractor who has been operating for over 70 years across the UK working across a number of Joint Ventures, Public-Private Partnerships and alternative forms of contract on well-known and celebrated projects;
Well-respected and successful, our client has secured a substantial contract and are looking for talented and ambitious individuals to join their team;

What you'll be doing:

Based in Glasgow, the successful SQS will be working on a mixture of water and energy projects across civil engineering;
Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works for pricing and sending out of Sub-contract enquires.
Preparing Valuations with Client's, agreeing amounts for payment and ensuring invoices are prepared and issued.
Re-measurement of subcontract applications and processing subcontract payments and informing of variations in contract.
Valuing variations, agreeing final accounts, monitoring costs;
Reporting on CVR's
Help manage and support the Quantity Surveyors and Junior Quantity Surveyors.

What you'll need to be successful:

Ideally, the candidate will be degree-educated within civil engineering;
At least 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor;
Previous civil engineering and NEC experience is essential.
