Senior Finance Manager

Posted by Natalie Wells Recruitment.

Do you secretly get bored when the role becomes routine?

Do you yearn to put your stamp on a new Senior Finance Manager role where your contribution will be truly valued?

Managing others comes naturally to you; your ability to nurture a small finance team-4 in this case-bring cohesion and drive excellence will be key to your success.

The team thrived when the company was smaller, but due to significant growth, we need to bolster the department with the support of a Senior Finance Manager.

This thriving multi-site retail business, with a current turnover north of £10m, is poised for significant expansion. It plans to open three more new sites this year and possibly more next year.

The recently appointed part-time Finance Director is steering strategy and mentoring the directors. While you will be the on-site qualified accountant managing daily finance operations and team development, you'll have strong support from the Finance Director and the opportunity for hybrid working (one day per week from home) once you've settled in.

The diligent management accountant is close to capacity. As such, you'll support in producing the management accounts for a few sites. Once established, you'll help the Finance Director produce a new group reporting pack for the Directors, which is why previous consolidation experience is requested.

This is one of many projects that you'll be involved with under the direction of the Finance Director; he also plans to introduce Power BI - a bonus if you have prior experience, but if not, don't worry, you soon will have as we're learning with the support of a consultant.

Nothing is standing still. Literally - we're knocking down walls to create an open-plan office, making communication easier.

So if;

  • People management is a passion of yours;
  • You are a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in group consolidations, budget preparation, liaising with Year End auditors;
  • You're producing good Management Information and would enjoy shaping the reporting for a business that is growing nicely;
  • You enjoy autonomy and are a self-starter who can be relied upon to manage your own workload and that of a team.

Then, what are you waiting for?! Look no further.

We want to meet you.

What's on offer;

  • Salary in line with qualification and experience, c. £55,000 - £65,000
  • This is a Malmesbury, office-based role with the flexibility to work from home one day per week once established.
  • Car parking on site.
  • Commutable from Bristol, Chippenham, Cirencester, Malmesbury, Stroud, Swindon, and Tetbury.
