Based a couple of minutes from the train line, with state of the art office.
This management accountant opportunity will be reporting to the Finance Manager, and you will be part of a growing finance team. This is a newly created role within the business and our Client is looking for a part-qualified accountant who has experience of the full management accounting cycle.
This role is able to offer exposure to a wide range of financial areas for the successful candidate. Overall, you will help to provide accounting support within the Finance team to produce, deliver and continuously improve the management accounts.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support the Finance Manager with production of monthly management accounts
- Sole responsibility of the financial reporting for two of the subsidiaries
- Assist in management of the fixed asset register and disposals across all businesses.
- Month end procedures, posting journals, accruals, prepayments and intercompany transactions.
- Assist with year end reporting and audit.
- Balance sheet reconciliations - including purchase and lease agreements.
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc project work
- Identify and drive continuous improvements
Experience/Skills
- CIMA/ACCA Part-Qualified, must be currently studying
- Previous experience of the producing the monthly management accounts/month end process
- Advanced Excel & analytical skills
- Experience in managing large volumes of data
- Excellent attention to detail
- Team player
