Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and drive growth initiatives within the forklift industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, business development, and relationship management, with a deep understanding of the forklift market and its key players.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes within the forklift industry.

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to penetrate new markets, expand market share, and maximize revenue growth.

  1. Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners in the forklift industry.

  • Understand client needs, preferences, and pain points to provide tailored solutions and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  1. Sales and Business Development:
  • Drive sales initiatives to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting, lead generation, and proposal development.

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure profitable business deals.

  1. Product and Industry Knowledge:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to forklifts and material handling equipment.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of our products, features, and benefits to effectively communicate value propositions to clients and stakeholders.

  1. Collaboration and Team Leadership:
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and product development teams to support sales initiatives and product enhancements.

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to sales teams and support staff to optimize performance and achieve business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MHE preferred).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in business development, sales, or account management within the forklift industry or similar sectors.
  • Strong understanding of forklifts, material handling equipment, and industrial machinery.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
