Service Care Solutions are working with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust to recruit a Band 8a CBT Therapist to support the Psychological Skills Service
The contract duration is for a minimum of 6 months with the likelihood of extension. This is a Part-time placement with 22.5 hours available.
Job Title: Band 8a CBT Therapist
Location: Cambridge (Hybrid working available)
Contract Dates: Start ASAP - 6 months
Working Days: 3 days per week, flexible
Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: £35 per hour (LTD)
Role Overview: The Band 8a CBT Therapist will be responsible for delivering high-quality, NICE-recommended treatment interventions for Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD), such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for Trauma and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments to diagnose CPTSD and other related mental health conditions.
- Therapeutic Interventions:

Provide NICE-recommended treatment interventions for CPTSD, including but not limited to CBT for Trauma and EMDR.

Develop individualised treatment plans based on clients' needs and clinical guidelines.

Utilise a range of therapeutic techniques to address trauma-related symptoms and enhance clients' coping strategies.
- Case Management:

Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
- Collaboration and Consultation:
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care.
- Supervision and Training:
- Provide supervision and support to junior therapists and trainees, fostering their professional development.
- Professional Development:

Maintain professional registration and adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by regulatory bodies.

Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with advancements in the field of trauma therapy.
Requirements
- BABCP provisional / full accreditation
- Previous experience working with Adults
