RG Consultancy are working closely with an excellent, growing reputable company based near Heywood who are looking for a management accountant to lead the finance department with 2 direct reports. This is a full time (flexible start and finish times) position.
Duties will include:
- Prepare the monthly management accounts - liaise with the external accountants initially.
- Prepare the month end duties such as accruals and prepayments
- Attend management meetings; run financial reports including P&L, costings etc.
- Support the finance team with Bank reconciliations
- Assist with audits
- VAT returns
- Deal with HMRC queries
- Prepare the payroll including director salaries, expenses and car allowances
- Other adhoc duties
Skills required:
- Strong IT skills - SAGE / MS Excel would be ideal
- Able to do accounts to trial balance
- Ambitious and wanting to support a growing business
