Flooring and Fabric Engineer - Midlands
Our client is an established Facilities Management Company based in the West Midlands who are now looking to recruit an experienced engineer with experience in floor laying, alongside other advantageous skills including fabric works and other general maintenance disciplines.
They are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Floor Layer who will be responsible for the service, repair and maintenance across their client portfolio.
The successful candidate will possess a mixture of the below skills as well as the appropriate certifications
Responsibilities:
- Tailoring and hanging fire doors
- Building timber framework and structures
- Repairs and replacement of hardware components
- Tiling
- Subfloor repairs
- Concrete flooring
- Repairs and installation of Commercial Sheet flooring/Altro/Safety flooring/LVT/Carpet
- Travelling to a variety of sites to survey and/or complete works
Additional Advantageous skills:
- Plastering and decoration works (including application of water and oil-based primers and paint products)
- Brickwork and render repairs
- General property repairs
Candidate Specification:
- Following safe working practices.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to scope works required and provide specification of materials and labour required
- Adhering to the Company's compliance obligations, policies, processes, and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Essential:
- Certification in Floor laying
- Perform hot weld safety flooring installations
- Minimum of 5 years of flooring installation experience
- Proven experience in hot weld safety flooring installation
