Our client, a leading engineering company based in Redhill, Surrey, are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join their small team. This role is predominently home based but you must be able to go into the office when required and therefore live within reach of London.
Reporting to the Finance Director the successful candidate will assist with daily accounting tasks and support the financial operations of the company.
An attractive salary is on offer dependent on your level of experience, your daily duties will consist of:
- Assist with the accounts payable process and monthly payment runs
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Prepare and input staff expenses
- Conduct monthly credit control duties
- Prepare and maintain financial reports
- Enter financial data into accounting software accurately and timely
- Assist with month-end and year end closing procedures
- Support other accounting and administrative tasks as needed
We are looking for the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years previous relevant experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Good MS Office experience
- Excellent communication, approachable and friendly nature
