Manufacturing Group based in Ryde, Isle of Wight, have a requirement for an Assistant Accountant to join them on a permanent basis, this is a newly created role due to the growth of the business. The business works 4.5 days a week with Friday afternoon early finish and they also will pay for travel for people coming from the mainland. This is a great role for someone to develop their accounting acumen and be involved in month end processing.
What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?
- Processing high volume journals at month end;
- Balance sheet reconciliations;
- Forecasting;
- Assisting with project accounting;
- Month end business partnering across the wider company.
Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy:
- A recent University Graduate (Accounting or Finance Qualification) or someone with experience and a desire to study ACCA/CIMA;
- Happy to be office based at least 4 days a week and 5 days during month end;
- Good Excel skills;
- Strong communication skills.
