Our rapid growth client is seeking an IT Manager to become a pillar within their senior leadership team. Our client is a specialist Distributor & Manufacturer working within the life sciences industry, based in North Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the operations side of the technology department, with a strong focus on 3rd party vendor management.

This company is a highly regarded and well-established organisation within the life science industry; they are a private Equity backed 100+ turnover business with plans to double turnover in the next 5 years. With a wide range of products that make them essential in their sector, they have become a recession-proof business. As expansion becomes essential they now seek an IT Manager to navigate them through their trajectory.

Description

The responsibilities of the IT Manager include but, are not limited to:

  • Work across various 3rd parties and vendors to establish and proactively develop IT processes, policy and procedure.
  • Strategically and continuously deliver projects that advocate for the growth plans of the business; these will feature but, will not be exclusive to Cloud Adoption, Disaster Recovery, Cyber Essentials and more
  • Managing IT Licenses, Equipment and budgeting/ spend.
  • Maintain and monitor daily operations of Infrastructure and Networks.
  • Preserve standards of data privacy, backups of systems and network access.
  • Manage a small team looking after hybrid IT Infrastructure environment.

Profile

A successful IT Manager should have:

  • Experience working with a 3rd party vendors.
  • SharePoint Experience.
  • A strong Infrastructure background with sound understanding of on-premise, virtualised, cloud and network technologies.
  • Proficiency in IT project management/Service Delivery.
  • Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Wealth of experience with the Office 365 suite.
  • Strong strategic and problem-solving skills.
  • A host of experience across a range of software and hardware.
  • Ability to manage and lead teams.
