Are you an ambitious and proactive individual with a passion for delivering timely and accurate financial reporting? Our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation based in Weston-Super-Mare, is seeking a talented Group Financial Controller to join their team.

As the Group Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the company.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
  • Compile annual year-end trial balances and comprehensive business plans.
  • Establish and maintain procedures that ensure accounting control and minimise working capital.
  • Safeguard the Group's assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Implementation and maintenance of strong financial controls.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights and support.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Cash and working capital management and cash forecasting.
  • Monthly Group accounts consolidation.
  • Balance Sheet Maintenance.
  • Monthly VAT checks and preparation of quarterly submission.
  • Annual budgeting.
  • Undertake internal audit exercises and support preparation of year end accounts.
  • Preparation of weekly Group KPI Analysis for weekly senior management meetings.
  • Support senior management with ad-hoc projects.

To be considered for the role of Group Financial Controller:

  • Relevant accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Proven experience of managing a Finance Team.
  • Good understanding of KPI's and able to interpret management accounts to identify areas of improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience within the Automotive sector is preferred but not essential.
