I am currently working with an aerospace and automotive component manufacturer, based in Rugby, who are now looking to recruit for a Laser Setter/Programmer to join their existing team. The Laser Setter/Programmer will provide support to their current operations.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Laser Setter/Programmer will be responsible for:
- Running and problem solving 2 and 5 axis laser and waterjet machines.
- The operation and setting of 2 and 5 axis laser machines.
- Creating 2D profiles.
Preferred Skills and Experience for the Laser Setter/Programmer:
- 5+ years practical work experience in a similar role.
- Nesting and layout experience.
- Knowledge of setting and operating waterjet machines.
- Computer literate with MS Office suite, and 2D CAD/CAM packages.
- A good knowledge/experience gained within a sheet metal / laser cutting environment.
- Experience of manual programming machine Code.
- Experience of working within the Automotive or Aerospace industries.
- A conscientious and methodical approach to work.

The role is working a straight day shift, with an early finish on Fridays, there is free parking onsite and the company, apart from Christmas, has no shutdowns, so your holiday entitlement is flexible. Overtime may be available depending on the business demands.
